How to Rate & Review Puzzles

RATING
- Stars: Rate from 1 to 5, where 1 means 'not great' and 5 means 'excellent'
DIFFICULTY
- Frustrated Face icon: Rate from 1 to 5, where 1 represents 'easy' and 5 indicates 'extremely difficult'
REVIEW
Share feedback on the puzzle:
- What worked well?
- Any drawbacks?
- Would you recommend it?
- Additional insights that might interest a prospective puzzle buyer
NOTE: If you have selected too many stars or difficulty icons, you can deselect them by clicking/tapping on the last star/face selected and working backwards to adjust your rating.
Rating and Reviewing New Puzzles
When adding a new puzzle, the rating and review fields are available in the Add New Puzzle screen.

Rating and Reviewing Existing Puzzles
In addition to reviewing new puzzles, as you enter them, you can also rate and review puzzles you have previously added, as well as those submitted by others. IPDb encourages members to review puzzles after completion, regardless of who the original submitter was.
If multiple people rate the same puzzle, an average rating of all ratings will be displayed.
How to Rate Existing Puzzles
- Search for the puzzle
- Click/tap to open the View Screen
- Make your rating selections and add a review. Your selections are saved automatically when you leave the screen

Viewing Rating Breakdown
Within the View Screen, you can:
- See all user reviews
- View the overall average ratings
- Check the breakdown of enjoyment and difficulty ratings by clicking/tapping the chart icon next to the difficulty indicator

Viewing highest rated / most reviewed puzzles
To explore puzzles with the most reviews, highest ratings or the greatest difficulty, use predefined searches available on the home screen.
