Sharing a Puzzle

IPDb offers a few options for you to share puzzles. Sharing options are bigger on mobile platforms, compared to desktop PCs, but sharing can be done from both.
Sharing a single puzzle is done from the detail view of puzzles, where you click/tap the link button at the top of the screen. This will create a URL (It starts with https://), which will make your share look great on social platforms if you paste it into your sharing text.

If your friends follow the link by clicking/tapping on the image in your post, they will be taken to a page similar to the one below, where they can read all the information on the puzzle. In addition, there is also an 'open in IPDb' button to take them straight to viewing this puzzle in IPDb.
This allows you to add a lot of value to your posts, compared to just sharing an image on Facebook, as the readers of your post will get all the basic information about the puzzle, not only the image. And, if they decide to follow it right through to IPDb, they can read ratings and reviews and take advantage of all the options in IPDb.
As an added value, this will help even more people to get to know IPDb, and if more people join IPDb, it will continue to grow and become even better. So help yourself and share your images through IPDb.

Sharing puzzles from the list view works in the same way, only this time the image will be a combination of images from the list view instead of just a single image. If they go ahead and open it in IPDb, they will end up in the Listview with all the records that you shared there.

Sharing for Instagram, etc.
Some social platforms do not allow users to follow links. One example is Instagram, but there may be others. To enable sharing on these platforms, we must share an image.
To do so, open the image in full-screen mode.

Then click/tap on the image-sharing icon in the lower right corner.
This will open up the narrative-sharing dialogue, which looks different from system to system. However, this is the conversation you use so that you can share normally.
From this dialogue, select the app that you wish to share with, and then you will be able to share the image there.
A relevant description for the image has been put on your clipboard, so you can paste it in if you like, or write your own.
