Brand Catalogues
IPDb Support ES
Last Update há 6 meses
Those of you who have been puzzling since pre-internet days will recall that many brands used to include a printed catalogue in their puzzle boxes; catalogues that were often discarded as junk mail. Sadly, they are now very scarce and most vintage puzzle lovers are excited to see one turn up in a box!
Modern-day brands are now often released online digital PDF catalogues, but these still require doing a lot of research online to find them.
This is why IPDb has added a dedicated catalogue upload area, where members can add any catalogues they may have, to share with the puzzle community.
How to access and upload Catalogues
The catalogue area can be found in the burger menu (3-line icon at the top left of the screen).

A window will appear listing any catalogue already uploaded and ready for viewing.

There are 2 ways in which catalogues can be uploaded:
- drag and drop the file you wish to upload onto the upload window (PC only)
- click on the Upload button and navigate to the file you want to upload, select it, and then click on the Open button
If you have an image (jpg, png, etc.) These will need to be saved as a PDF first.
To save an image as PDF (PC):
- Open the image
- Go to File > Print
- When your printer window appears, from the printer dropdown, select Print to PDF
- A window will appear asking you where to save the PDF. Navigate to where you want to save the PDF on your device or network and give it a name before pressing the print button.
This will generate a PDF file of the image you want to convert to the nominated spot.
You can then retrieve this PDF file when navigating to it via the IPDB catalogue Upload button, or drag and drop it onto the catalogue upload screen.

Giving the Catalogue file a name
Once the file has been uploaded to IPDb, a popup window will appear asking to name the file. For consistency and sorting purposes, we recommend to follow the format below:
Brand_Catalogue_year eg Anatolian_Catalogue_2019

When the name has been entered, press ok. The file has now finished uploading and is ready for anyone to view.
To upload further Catalogues:
Press the Upload button again, or drag and drop your next file, and follow the instructions above again.
To delete a Catalogue:
Press the Delete button to remove a wrongly uploaded file, or an incorrectly named one.
NOTE - you can only delete files you have uploaded yourself.
To view a Catalogue:
Press the View button - the PDF will open up in your browser or a nominated PDF reader.
To close the Catalogue window:
Press the Close button.
We hope to see many more interesting catalogues appear in this area, in time to come.
