Private Folders Revisited
A new way to look at private folders

Private folders have been a key feature of IPDb since the beginning, as they provide a way to organise your private collections.
Recently, we added the ability to have countless private folders and for you to be able to organise your private folders in a tree structure, by enabling the ability to create subfolders.
Now we introduce a new way to look and work with your folders, by offering a true tree view of your folder structure, very similar to the file explorer on your desktop computer.
Because this view requires a larger screen and a mouse, it isn't available when using a mobile device.
It looks like this:

It will appear on your desktop computer whenever you open a private folder.
On the left, you will see the tree view of all your private folders, organized with subfolders as leaves under their parent folder. In this view, you can move folders around by dragging them with the mouse. This is useful when reorganising your folders and you want to make another structure; you drag the folder to the correct location in the tree.
You can also copy a folder if you wish to have a duplicate of this folder. You do that the same way as when you move it but instead, you hold down the CTRL key on your keyboard while dragging and releasing the folder to the new location. A small + will show to the right of the dragged folder if you are copying and not moving.
If you wish to set up a folder in the tree view, right-click with the mouse on the folder, and select Setup from the menu which appears.
On the right, you will see the puzzles in the folder, just like any other view of a collection of puzzles. If you want to move a puzzle from one folder to another, grab the puzzle with the mouse and drag it to the folder you wish to move it to.
In a similar way, and by also using the CTRL key, you can copy a puzzle from one folder to another. Yes, a puzzle can reside in multiple folders; this is not a problem in IPDb. However, only one copy of a puzzle can reside in any single folder, so if you drag a puzzle to a folder where it already resides, you will get a warning.
You can resize the split screen by dragging the small handle between the 2 sections.
