What is new in IPDb v. 3.4

CROPPING

A new cropping tool is now available in the latest version, designed to help you create precise puzzle image crops - even when the lines aren’t perfectly parallel. This enhanced tool replaces the previous crop feature across the app, with the exception of selfie cropping.

It’s also integrated into the new image upload wizard, which helps maintain optimal image quality for IPDb contributions. For full details, check out the article "Adding and uploading images"

AI GENERATED DESCRIPTIONS
In this update, IPDb takes its first small step into the world of artificial intelligence (AI). We've introduced an automated agent that generates short descriptions for all images tagged as puzzle, box, or poster. These descriptions are now visible beneath the image in the detail view.

But they’re more than just visual aids - these descriptions are searchable! Users can now find puzzles by recalling the scene, even if the finer details escape them.

This is the newly updated Search page:

• Simple:  This is where you can do a "Quick Search" by entering comma separated words
• Image:  The search can be a sentence describing the image you are looking for.  It will search the IPDb short image description allocated to each image
• Advanced:  The original comprehensive field search is still available here, including searching of folders / private fields
