The "I Can Help❤️..." feature
The I Can Help section offers a variety of tools designed to help users add value to IPDb. You can find it in the burger menu in the upper left corner.

This feature identifies puzzles and images that could do with improvements to make them more beneficial to IPDb's 1000s of users.
If you have time and passion for enhacing IPDb, you are welcome to contribute as much as you'd like.
(Note - for the "Puzzles with missing information" option, please make sure to only add information that you can personally verify, and ensuring you are adding info for the correct puzzle version)
Puzzle Detail Top Menu Bar (Mobile devices)
The Top Menu bar on the puzzle detail screen has been reorganized to introduce new functions while optimizing space on mobile devices.
On larger screens, the top bar will appear as usual, but on smaller screens, additional functions are now grouped into the View Menu to preserve screen space.

Barcode validation
Scanning barcodes accurately has always been a challenge, when trying to ensure the correct results make it into IPDb. In this update, we've added a barcode validator that alerts you if a barcode does not meet international standards.
While this validator won’t prevent you from submitting a puzzle, it provides a second chance to verify the barcode before finalizing your entry.

Fixing puzzle duplications
Occasionally, the same puzzle may have been added to IPDb twice, creating unnecessary duplicates. Recently, we've seen an increase in reports of duplicate puzzles through our support system.
To streamline this process and make it safer for everyone, we've introduced a new in-app tool for reporting duplicates.

If you believe Puzzle A to be a duplicate of Puzzle B:
- Go to Puzzle A and copy its link to your clipboard.
- Navigate to Puzzle B and select the message button.
- Go to the merge section in the message pop-up, and paste the copied link.
While this process may seem complex, detailed instructions can be found in the knowledge base article, "How to Handle Duplicates". Once you confirm the request, the system will handle the rest automatically.
You'll receive updates in your inbox as your request progresses, and you can track its status in the new "Requests" section of your messages.

Request a change to existing puzzle info
IPDb is a community-driven project, where users can work together to enhance puzzle details to ensure accuracy and completeness. Since the beginning, users have been able to add missing information to puzzle records submitted by others, but editing existing details required contacting the original submitter directly.
To simplify this, we've introduced a new tool for requesting edits.

PC / Desktop
- Move your cursor to the field needing correction
- Hold CTRL, and click the field.
Touchscreens/ Mobile Devices
- Use a long press to achieve the same effect
This will then open up a message dialog window as below.

In the Change section/tab of the message dialog, the relevant selected field will be pre-filled with its current value. Simply enter the corrected information in the Message section and confirm / hit OK when ready to submit.
For clarity, you can also add an optional message explaining why your change improves the entry.
Just like duplicate reports, you can track edit requests in the new "Requests" section under your messages.
Easier Control Over Your Record's Images
We’ve heard your feedback—many users found the drag-and-drop interface for reordering or deleting images tricky to use. To improve this experience, we’ve introduced a new popup menu with the same functions, providing a simpler and more precise way to manage your images.
Just click/tap on any image and choose the desired action from the menu.

Remember: selecting a strong image as your first picture is important, as this is the one most users will see when browsing IPDb.
