IPDb Hub Guidelines and Code of Conduct

Welcome to the IPDb Hub! This space is designed for jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts to share, connect, and support one another. To keep this community fun, safe, and helpful for everyone, we ask that you follow these guidelines.

1. Be Supportive and Kind

The IPDb Hub thrives on positive interactions. We're all here because we love puzzles, so let's encourage each other!

  • Do: Offer constructive advice, celebrate others' achievements, and welcome new members warmly.

  • Don't: Engage in personal attacks, shaming, excessive negativity, or trolling. Remember, there's a person behind every screen.

2. Stay Puzzle-Related

Keep the discussion focused on jigsaw puzzles, the IPDb app, and related topics (e.g., puzzling accessories, storage, or techniques).

  • Do: Share photos of your latest completed puzzles, ask for recommendations, discuss puzzle brands, or seek help with app features.

  • Don't: Post about topics unrelated to puzzles (e.g., politics, non-puzzle hobbies, or personal finance). Off-topic posts may be removed.

3. Respect Intellectual Property (IP)

Always respect the creators and owners of puzzle images and artwork.

  • Do: Give credit to the original puzzle brand/artist when posting images. Share links to legitimate, authorized content.

  • Don't: Post links to pirated content, unauthorized copies, or illegally distributed puzzle files. Do not share copyrighted IPDb content or data outside of the app without permission.

Zero Tolerance Policy

The following behaviors are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent removal from the IPDb Hub:

  • Harassment: Any form of targeted, sustained, or malicious interaction intended to intimidate, distress, or humiliate another member. This includes doxing (sharing private information) and repeated, unwanted contact.

  • Hate Speech: Any content that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.

  • Explicit Content: Posting or sharing sexually explicit or graphically violent material. This includes links to such content.

  • Spam and Self-Promotion: Excessive or irrelevant commercial posts, pyramid schemes, "get-rich-quick" promotions, or repeated non-puzzle related advertisements. Occasional sharing of a puzzle-related personal project is fine, but sustained, intrusive selling is not.

Enforcement

  • IPDb admin group has the final say on all interpretation of these rules.
  • Depending on the severity of the violation, actions may include a warning, temporary suspension, or immediate and permanent ban.

  • If you see a violation, please report the post or member rather than engaging with them directly.

Reporting a Post or Comment

If you find a post which is borderline violating the above principles please report it to the admin group. All such reports will be kept anonymous, so it is 100% safe to do so.

To report a post, go to the burger menu and choose report post. This will prompt you for a explanation - it does not have to be long, just let us know why the post isn't appropriate for the IPDb Hub.

In the dialog that appears, please explain why you think the relevant post does not fit the IPDb guidelines.
