Registration: How do I Register as an IPDb User?

You can register as a member via: Google, Apple ID, Microsoft email or phone number.

TO REGISTER AS A USER


1. Open up the IPDb App


2. Click/tap on the SETTINGS icon (cog icon) at the bottom right of the App screen

3. Press the Register button in the Account section

4. Select one of the options presented to set up your account


Use Microsoft

Enter your email or phone number used for your Microsoft account, then enter your password when prompted for this.


Use Google

Enter your email or Phone number used for your Google account, then enter your password when prompted for this.


Use Apple

Enter your email or Phone number used for your Apple ID, then enter your password when prompted for this.


Use Email

  1. Enter a valid email and password, then press OK
  2. You will be sent an email with a link to activate your account
    Please note:  Also check your spam folder in case the email ends up in there!
  3. Once the link in the email has been activated, a browser notification screen will appear to let you know registration is complete
  4. You will now be able to sign into your account using your login and password

Use Mobile Phone

Enter your phone number and press OK. You will be sent an SMS with a number of follow-up dialogue screens to activate your account. 


Registering more than 1 login method for the same account

Whilst most people would normally only register a single login method, others may prefer to keep their options open.


You are, therefore, able to register for the same IPDb account with either just the 1 login method or all 5!


Benefit: If one login method fails for whatever reason, you will still have the ability to log in with any of your other login methods.


To register multiple login methods for the same account:

  1.  Register an IPDb account with your first initial login preference (see details above)
  2.  Once logged in, go to the SETTINGS  (cog icon, bottom right)
  3.  In the Account section, press the Account setup button

This will display the account settings.

Now click on the 'Add Login Method' where you can choose which method to add to your account. The setup of the new method follows the procedure described above for each of these methods.
