IPDb is built on web technology. The App can, therefore, be accessed in 2 ways:

  1.  Via a web browser
  2.  By downloading the App from your App Store 

Using IPDb from a web browser

IPDb is like any other website that you know. All you have to do is type in https://ipdb.plus in the address bar, which will take you to IPDb. 

The way you interact with IPDb is determined by the browser you use.


This method of using IPDb is well-suited for a first tryout, to see if IPDb is something for you. However, you can continue to use IPDb this way, if you prefer. 


For most users though downloading and installing the App will be more efficient.

Downloading the App from an App Store

The IPDb App is now available in all major app stores. 


For Windows users:

  • Go to the Microsoft Store from the Start menu to open up the store
  • Search for "the Internet Puzzle Database"
  • Download and install the App


For Android users:

  • Open Google Play on your phone/tablet
  • Search for "the Internet Puzzle Database" 
  • Download and install the App


For iOS/iPhone users;

  • Open the Apple Store on your phone/tablet
  • Search for "the Internet Puzzle Database"
  • Download and install the App

Why should I install the App?

Installing the App gives a number, of significant advantages.


  1. It will put an IPDb icon on your home screen/desktop, which makes it very easy to get to IPDb. There is no need to open a browser and type in a URL

  2. It will give you better usage, of your screen. This is especially important on a mobile phone where screen sizes are limited. Using the App will allow you to view IPDb on your entire screen

  3. Lastly, but equally important, installing the App allows you, the opportunity, to rate and review the App in your App Store. When rating and reviewing, please remember that IPDb is a community project, and we all work together to build a great puzzle tool. This means that the more users that join, the better the overall results will be. Giving fair ratings and relevant reviews will encourage even more users to join


A small note: Please do not use reviews to raise App problems. Instead, please use our ticket system to let us know if you need help or find a problem, and we will do our best to resolve it so that it won't be an issue for future new users.
