Standard linking feature

If you wish to link to only a few number of records, the easiest way is to use the standard method to obtain a link to a IPDb record, see the article How to link to a puzzle

If, however, you have a large number of records, this method may not be feasible to you, and you have a choice of other methods

Link with barcode

If you know the barcode of your puzzle, you can link to a puzzle through this template
(replace the barcode number at the end after '=' to your puzzle barcode)

Link by manufacturer ID

If you know the manufacturer id of your puzzle, you can link to a puzzle through this template
(replace the sku number at the end after '=' to your puzzle manufacturer code)

Link by brand

If you know the brand of your puzzle, you can link to a puzzle through this template
(replace the brand name at the end after '=' to your puzzle brand name)

This is typically combined with other filters, as you will otherwise end up with a list of all Ravensburger puzzles. This is done using this template
(replace both the brand and sku number after '=' to your puzzle brand name & manufacturer code)

Link by title/name

If you know the title of your puzzle, you can link to a puzzle through this template
(replace the title at the end after '=' to your puzzle title)

Many puzzle brands name their puzzles after the piece of art it uses, so it is often a good idea to combine the title filter with other filters, unless a list of puzzles with this name is what you are looking for.

Link by artist

If you know the artist of your puzzle, you can link to a puzzle through this template
(replace the artist name at the end after '=' to your puzzle artist name)

Also artists tend to lead to a list of puzzles unless combined with other filters.

Apply ordering on your search result

If you know that your link will lead to a list of puzzles, you can impose an order to the list by using this template
(replace the order field at the end after '=' to the field name you wish to order the list by)

Anorder directive must include a field name and can potentially include a direction clause like 'asc' or 'desc'.

pieces asc will sort from low number of pieces to high number of pieces while pieces desc will sort in the opposite direction. If you omit the direction clause, it will default to asc.

Valid fieldnames to sort by are:

  • created
  • name
  • brand
  • pieces
  • artist
  • collectionname
  • releaseyear
